The hotel is beautifully decorated with a stunning lobby and Art Deco features. The billiards room is a fun spot, especially during happy hour. Unfortunately, our room's bathroom needed some maintenance and had flaking paint. Overall, a charming place but room conditions could improve.

Beautiful hotel with vintage decor and a fun speakeasy vibe. The billiards and happy hour were a hit. Elevators were slow, and there was some street noise at night.

Great location near shops and attractions, but our excitement faded after hearing about a nearby shooting at a music festival. The hotel is stunning, but our room had flaking bath coating and a damp smell; a hot shower was elusive, requiring a little tutorial from staff. Valet parking was a hassle, with a long wait, and only one elevator for our side of the building. The staff was friendly, but we noticed uneven treatment during check-in. Enjoyed a festive atmosphere and a wonderful bar experience, but I wished for smoother service overall.

I was really let down by the valet service. It took forever to get my car back—over four hours after I returned. I missed my appointment because they didn’t even bother to get my key. Super frustrating!

Valet parking made things easy. The shuttle was great for getting around.
It wasn't the cheapest option, but it felt reasonable for what I got.

We had an amazing time wandering around and found that everything we wanted to see was just a short stroll away, from the stunning Tennessee Aquarium just over a kilometer down the road to the vibrant restaurants and shops within a few steps, making our weekend adventure so easy and enjoyable; the hotel offers spacious rooms and even has a Starbucks on-site for your morning coffee fix, but the gym could use some more equipment to enhance the workout experience.

The Read House Hotel impresses with its rich history and beautiful lobby. The helpful staff and welcoming valet service enhance your experience. It's conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Chattanooga, making it a great choice for those wanting to explore the area.

The experience started strong with valet service and warm greetings from the eager staff. They truly prioritized making us feel welcomed. We celebrated an early birthday and were treated with utmost respect. The location is superb—walking distance to delectable restaurants and attractions. The bar and steakhouse on-site are noteworthy, though the cocktail menus should be streamlined for ease. small issues arose: a dusty light fixture and an odd reception check-in. Minor inconveniences surfaced, like room updates needed and inconsistent service in the restaurant. the ambiance is beautiful, and the attention to cleanliness stands out. Would still return—definitely a memorable destination worth revisiting.

The room was beautifully updated and quite comfortable. The bed offered great support, making it easy to relax after a long day. Temperature control was efficient, allowing us to maintain a pleasant atmosphere. Noise levels were low, creating a peaceful environment. the absence of a desk made it challenging for me to focus on my writing. The shower could use some attention too, as it didn’t function properly. The location was perfect, allowing easy walking access to nearby restaurants but added confusion with parking options. the room had its charm but left room for improvement.

The hotel has a fantastic historic vibe with stunning decor. The bar had creative cocktails and the location lets you explore great local spots easily.
Room service is only on weekends, which is a bit limiting.

The Silver Room's stunning baroque detail makes it easy to envision gents in black ties and ladies in ball gowns swirling on the polished floor. Couples can take their pick of 12 elegant event spaces. The waitresses in flapper finery serve classic libations.
Oh, just loved waiting endlessly for my car at Valet service.

Just wanted to share my recent experience at The Read House. The best part for me was the helpful valet service – they were friendly and made things easy, which was much appreciated. there were a few things that didn't quite meet my expectations. The room felt a bit outdated, especially the bathroom. The shower looked like it needed a thorough cleaning, which was a bit off-putting. the towel rack in the bathroom fell apart when I tried to grab a towel, which was a bit inconvenient. the staff members were really great and accommodating. The lobby was stylish and inviting, and the room size was decent although there was only one chair. The pet-friendly policy was a nice touch for animal lovers like me. my stay was okay but could have been better with some improvements in the room amenities and maintenance. The valet service was a standout feature, but for the price, I expected a bit more in terms of room quality and cleanliness.

Handcrafted drinks and cool vibes. The New Year's Eve Cabaret Party was epic—dope party with tickets included. So much swag and good times!
More late-night party options for us young folks would be the cherry on top! .

The lobby decor during Christmas was stunning, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. The central location, nestled between great restaurants and the aquarium, made exploring the city a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed the delectable Tomahawk Ribeye at the hotel restaurant, which exceeded our expectations in both taste and presentation.

The Bar & Billiards Room, just off the fancy lobby, has a cool speakeasy vibe with handcrafted drinks. The cabaret party for New Year's Eve was a blast, and the accommodations were top-notch.
My kids wished for a kids' play area.

i had a fantastic time at Read House. the valet service was top-notch, and the staff were very accommodating. the rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, with incredibly comfortable beds. the property is beautiful, with a nice warm pool, and the location is easily accessible from the interstate. the hotel even allows dogs, which is a big plus for pet owners. the front desk staff were friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate special needs.
Everything is what i need and want 😊

The staff were friendly and the valet service was great. The hotel itself was beautiful and stylish, with comfortable beds that made for a good night's sleep. The location was convenient, with restaurants within walking distance and a nice atmosphere in the lobby.
There were several drawbacks during my stay. The bathroom needed repairs, and the AC didn't cool the room effectively, leaving the air feeling humid.

the place was so clean, and the building was gorgeous inside! it's super central, and the valet parking service was quick and friendly. it's starting renovations soon - so all the issues should get fixed! the staff was so helpful - especially the valet parking guys.
Would recommend.

The Read House is a charming and historic hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The beautiful hall and facilities exude an elegant charm from the 1920s. The staff, although busy, are friendly and willing to help. The spacious and cozy rooms are tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. The hotel's central location is convenient for exploring the city and nearby attractions.
Housekeeping service was a bit sporadic, requiring a request for service at one point. However, they were quick to respond once the request was made.
